Cherkassy
Kiev province
Cherkassy, a vibrant and vital
city of the Ukraine, still has a significant Jewish community, in numbers
that show why the Ukraine remains the fourth largest home to Jews in
the world. Its Jewish community center and services are the hub of
Jewish social services across the Cherkassy Oblast.
The history of this city on the Dnieper is old, including
the history of its Jewish community.
