To eliminate the administrative nightmare of mailing out 3000 pages, JRI-Poland decided to convert the microfilms of the 1929 Polish Business Directory to graphic images on a CD ROM. After concluding that work a decision was made to approach JewishGen with the idea of putting up the entire directory on the web so that researchers can view each and every page immediately as well as download pages for the indexing project. An agreement has been reached and the project will be formally announced on JewishGen and the JRI-Poland mailing list.
