Contributors who do not have access to a Visa card can make their donations to JRI-Poland with a "bank draft" in their local currency (Euros where applicable), if they live in one of the following countries:

Australia
Austria
Belgium
Denmark
France
Germany
Great Britain
Netherlands
New Zealand
Norway
Sweden
Switzerland

If a specific country is not on this list, please contact JRI-Poland treasurer Sheila Salo at ssalo@CapAccess.org and indicate the value of the contribution. An effort will be made to accept payment in the country's currency.

Here's how to calculate the amount of the contribution in your own currency:

a) Amount to be contributed in US $ =
b) Equivalent amount in your currency =
c) Add 3% (of b) for currency fluctuation and bank fees =
d) Total of b + c (in local currency) =

Reminder: The currency must match the country! For example, a bank check from Austrailia MUST be in Austrailian Dollars, not in Euros.

This procedure covers only donations being made to Jewish Records Indexing-Poland itself. It does not apply to payments to the Polish State Archives for the purchase of copies of records for which researchers have found indices in the JRI-Poland database. Payment for those orders must be made according to directions in the on-line order form (linked from the JRI-Poland "search results").
