JGSLI members often give genealogy presentations at a wide variety of locations around Long Island. Many of these are open to the public with minimal or no charge. Please watch our Facebook page for announcements.
The JGSLI will be happy to provide a speaker to interested groups. In the past, our speakers have given presentations to Men’s and Women’s Clubs, Continuing Education programs, synagogues and other community groups.
We provide engaging speakers with extensive experience in Jewish genealogy who use their own personal genealogical research as examples. The combination of practical experience and technical ability will help novice genealogists embark on their own research plans. More advanced topics or special topics may also be accommodated — please ask!
The presentations generally run 60-90 minutes in length and have received very good reviews.
