SPEAKER: Sarina Roffe
“From Tangier to Argentina and Back: An International Journey”
Sarina Roffe will describe her journey to uncover the genealogy in Morocco, France, and the Americas of the Roffe and Wahnish families – two families interwined by generations of intermarriage. She will present some of the documents, photos, and family stories that helped put together the pieces of the puzzle, as well as information on Sephardic resources and Moroccan practices.
Sarina is a journalist who has published and lectured widely on the subject of Sephardic and Mizrahi family history. She is president of the Sephardic Heritage Project and a member of the Board of Governors of JewishGen.
