Lynbrook Family History Center

The Family History Center, located at 10 Peninsula Blvd, Lynbrook [(516) 599-8079], contains microfilms of census data, ship’s manifests, etc. Others can be ordered from Salt Lake City, Utah. It is open Wednesday from 7:30pm to 10:30pm; Friday from 8:30pm to 10:30pm; and Sunday from 1pm to 4pm.

Plainview Family History Center

The Family History Center, located at 160 Washington Avenue, Plainview [(516) 433-0122], contains many city directory and microfilms of census data, ship’s manifests, etc. Others can be ordered from Salt Lake City, Utah. It is open Monday thru Thursday from 10am to 2pm and 7pm to 9:30pm; and Friday and Saturday from 10am to 2pm.
The Plainview Family History Center holds 10 books specific to Jewish Genealogy (provided by the JGSLI). Ask about them when you visit.

Port Jefferson Station Family History Center

The Family History Center, located at 372 Terryville Rd, Port Jefferson Station [(631) 642-2096], contains microfilms of census data, ship’s manifests, etc. Others can be ordered from Salt Lake City, Utah. It is open Tuesday from 9:30am to 1pm and 7pm to 9pm; Wednesday from 9:30am to 11:30am; Friday from 8:30pm to 10:30pm; and Thursday and Saturday from 9am to 11am.
Note: They may close early if no patrons come.
