The Jewish Genealogical Society of Illinois (JGSI) is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping members collect, preserve, and perpetuate the records and history of their ancestors. We serve as a resource for the worldwide community to research their Chicago area Jewish roots.

We conduct monthly meetings with speakers on a wide range of topics. We provide access to research materials in our library, publish a newsletter - Morasha - and maintain an online searchable death index.

Temple Beth Israel, 3601 W. Dempster Street, Skokie: 12:30pm -- 1:45pm Library open. Computers will be available as well as knowledgeable researchers to provide assistance.

: 1:00pm: Program. Steve Morse, creator of the One-Step Search Forms. “One-Step Webpages: A Potpourri of Genealogical Search Tools” and "One-Step Webpages: A Hodgepodge of Lesser Known Gems”.
: Library open again after the programs until 4pm.
