Arline Sachs, a retired associate professor, has been doing genealogical research for over 25 years. She served as president, vice president, and secretary of JGSGW. She is a frequent lecturer on genealogy for the Lifetime Learning Institute, and has for the past 14 years been co-host of the television show “Tracing Your Family Roots,” which is broadcast in Fairfax County, Virginia and can be seen on the web at http://tracingroots.nova.org. Over 200 shows have been recorded, including 9 on various aspects of DNA. The show is seen in Northern Virginia and has been picked up by numerous non-profit TV stations around the country. Sidney Sachs is the producer of the show and together they received the IAJGS Salutes achievement award for their commitment to Jewish Genealogy.
