Greetings:
President Fischman greeted the Board.  Jane showed us a picture of herself with a koala taken during her recent trip to Australia.  What a souvenir!!

Minutes:
The minutes from June 2006 Board Meeting were unanimously approved.  There was no July Board meeting.

Reports President:
Jane received the following correspondence:
Appeals for donations from the National Yiddish Book Center and the Center for Jewish History.
A motion was made by Deb, seconded by Renata to approve running an ad in the Jewish Review for the New Year at a cost of $37.50.  Renata will reformat the picture of our logo for the paper.
Jane confirmed that everyone was receiving NU?  What's New?
Jane thanked Renata and Ferne for all of their help and follow-through.  Renata announced a new Jewish studies program at UB.
Jane requested that everyone please RSVP for the meetings.
Jane donated "Scottish Roots"n to our library.  She acquired the book on her recent trip to Scotland.

Treasurer:
Stan reported there was no financial activity leaving a balance of $1247.54.  Dues notices will be sent out in September along with a copy of our brochure.

Publicity:
Donna will send article to the Jewish Review announcing the officers for 2007.  She will also submit an article on the IAJGS Conference in New York City.  Lynn Dodd will have one week to respond to our request to be Recording Secretary.  Renata will be acting Recording Secretary until a permanent officer is appointed.

Librarian:
Jane suggested that we purchase "A Field Guide To Visiting a Jewish Cemetery"  for our library.  Deb purchased a copy at the conference and is waiting to receive it.  The Board will look at the book when it arrives to determine if it is something that we could use.  Ferne informed us that her cousin from Maryland donated two books to the library.

Newsletter:
The website subcommittee, consisting of Stan, Den and Renata, met and put together the preliminary items for the website.  Deb will begin putting the website together shortly.  Jane announced receiving the IAJGS Digest and that the Missouri deaths are now on line.

Old Business:
Deb will contact Jennifer at the Jewish Review regarding the status of scanning the old papers.

New Business:
Deb presented a report on the International Association of Jewish Genealogical Society Conference held in New York City.
