    languages, countries and uniquely Jewish traditions to navigate.

    Come to our hands-on workshop to get started documenting your family tree NOW!

    Walk Through the Online Resources and Construct A Basic Family Tree in Class
    Bring your family surnames and dates.

    We'll utilize:
    Ancestry
    Searching the Ellis Island database with Stephen Morse’s uniquely Jewish search criteria
    The NYC vital records and naturalization indices
    JewishGen Family Finder, Discussion Group Archives,
    Family Tree of the Jewish People and
    JewishGen's Online Worldwide Burial Registry
    Avotaynu's Consolidated Jewish Surname Index
    Yad Vashem's Holocaust Pages of Testimony
    JRI-Poland
    and more as needed!

    $6 fee for the workshop includes annual membership in the Jewish Genealogical Society of Colorado and the book “Getting Started in Jewish Genealogy” by Gary Mokotoff and Warren Blatt
