September 2008 - Julian Falk discussed his recent success with DNA testing. Susan Melnick of the Rauh Jewish Archives reported on a recent development for advancing Jewish Genealogy through the Archives.

November 2005 - Abe Anouchi. History of Sephardic Jewry

September 2005 -  Alexander Orbach, Chairman of the Jewish Studies Program at the University of Pittsburgh, spoke on Russian policy in the Empire (1795-1895) and the related  growth and development of the Jewish community.  Professor Orbach is also Associate Professor of Modern Jewish History in the Department of Religious Studies and the Department of History.

May 2005 - Robert Zavos spoke on research and travel in Poland. During his recent trip he visited the Warsaw Jewish Cemetery (Okopowa Street), the Jewish Historical Institute, and the Polish State Archives in Warsaw and Suwalki. He also made visits to his grandparents' shtels of Raczki and Sejne, both in Suwalki Gubernia.

April 2005 - Jack Greenburg spoke on the Centennia software product which is a digitized historical atlas of Europe.

March 2004 - Susan Melnick, Archivist of the Rauh Jewish Archives presented an overview of the Archive holdings and the Pittsburgh Jewish cemetery project

November 2003 - Abe Anouchi. Sephardic Jewry and his experiences in researching his family his family roots beginning in Toledo, Spain in the 15th Century.

October 2003 - Martha Berg, Archivist, Overview of the Rodef Shalom Congregation Archives. Pittsburgh Jewish Weekly Newspapers of early 1900 decades.

September 2003 - Overview of IAJGS Washington, DC Conference. Eleven members of JGS Pittsburgh attended the Conference.

May 2003 - Robert Zavos, Computer Demonstration of How to Use Jewishgen Resources and Databases.

April 2003 - Michael Jaron, "Jewish History, Identity and Information: A Personal Perspective"

March 2003 - Elissa Powell "Time and Money Saving Tips for Attending the NGS Conference, Pittsburgh May 28-31, 2003."

October 2002 - JGS Pittsburgh in conjunction with the Rauh Jewish Archives of the Heinz Pittsburgh Regional History Center, presented a program "Jewish Genealogy: A Path to Our Identity." Featured lecturer was Dr. Sallyann Sack. Over 150 people attended the program.

September 2002 - Overview of IAJGS Toronto Conference. Ten members of JGS Pittsburgh attended the Conference
