The congregation is a registered charity (no. 294859), under the name Thanet And District Reform Jewish Synagogue, registered on 25 July 1986. The governing document is the congregation's constitution dated 25 June 1986, as amended 29 March 2015.(xvii)

Cemetery
Information:

The congregation is a member synagogue of the Jewish Joint Burial Society (JJBS), through which the congregation's members participate in a burial scheme.

The congregation uses a dedicated section, sometimes referred to as the Reform Hebrew Section (part of section LIII), at the Margate (St. John's) Cemetery, Manston Road, Margate CT9 4LZ, which commenced in 1986.(xix)
