Current Status: Although it no longer appears use the name Hulme Hebrew Congregation, there would nevertheless continue to be a synagogue at Hillel House, the Jewish Students Hostel. Local Authority: Hulme and Greenheys are close to Manchester University and are in the metropolitan borough of the City of Manchester (within the metropolitan county of Greater Manchester, which no longer has any administrative powers).
