Both formed by 1905 (based upon earliest appearance in Jewish Year Books).
Current Status: Closed (late 1960's or in 1970) (based upon latest appearance in Jewish Year Books)
Ritual: Ashkenazi Orthodox
Local Authority: The congregation is considered part of the "North Manchester" Jewish community.
The congregation was in the centre of Manchester, which is now part of the metropolitan borough of the City of Manchester (now within the metropolitan county of Greater Manchester, which no longer has any administrative powers).  (Congregations in the locality)
From 1889 to 1974, Manchester was a county borough geographically within the County of Lancashire.
