Founded: 1931 (synagogue opened 1932), in part as successor to the New Briggate Synagogue. Services held in adjoining Brandsby Lodge (which housed the offices of the United Hebrew Congregation, the Board of Shechitah and the Beth Din), until opening of synagogue.
Current Status: Closed 1985
Ritual: Ashkenazi Orthodox
