Fund raising is an essential activity within any Jewish Community, and Bristol is no exception. Committees have engaged themselves in such activities over many years to raise funds for deserving causes such as communal welfare as well as Synagogue development and restoration.

This section provides a sample of the Fund Raising Brochures produced during the last 100 years as a means of attracting support from outside of the Jewish Community. In addition to the information about the fund raising committees of the day, these brochures provide an interesting history lesson through the various advertisments they carry from Bristol's trade and commerce.
