Described on the index card for Hrymaliv (as "about
German-Jewish school in Hrymaliv in 1789".
It consists of a few thin booklets or individual documents. The
item was examined first on microfilm and then in original form.
It includes very few names of students from any towns except for
a very short list for the city of L'viv.
Only a few Jewish names were observed even for L'viv. The rest of
the item consists of lists of towns with the number of pupils and
perhaps some other general statistics, but no specific breakdown
of the number of Jewish students. The inventory process in 2008
turned up this same item for at least 11 other larger towns. Once
the item had been examined and determined to be of little or no
value to Jewish researchers of the towns listed, this item was
not included in the inventory of any further towns. The towns
known to have index cards for this single item include: Buchach,
Drohobych, Hrymaliv, Kalush, Khrystynopil', Monastyrys'ka,
Nadvirna, Rozdil, Sambir, Sniatyn, Yavoriv, & Zbarazh.
