Ze'ev Greenhouse was born in Minsk in the early 1800s. His son Louis (Arieh Leb) immigrated to Newark with his wife, Martha Esther Parmet in 1884.
Louis and Martha had six children, Samuel (1872), Slava (1874), Etta (1876), Riva, Max (1881) and Simon.
When Louis and Martha immigrated in 1884, the left Sam (age 12) behind. Sam followed 6 years later (1890) at age 18.
Sam Greenhouse,a tailor, married Lena Krivit in New Haven in 1904. They had five children: Louis (1905) , Martha (1907), Esther (1911) , Jack (1913) and William (1915).
William Greenhouse and his wife, Virginia Leibowitz, lived in West Haven before moving to Phoenix. They had three daughters, Stephanie, Ruth and Laura.
Max married Pauline and had two children, Leon and Hannah
Simon Greenhouse and Bessie had one daughter.
Slava and Etta married twins with the last name Rabinowitz; Etta and Harry had three children: William, Ida and Louis.
