THE CEMETERIES
LARNACA:
It was stated that the
"Cemetery is disused." Source: The Jewish Travel Guide. London: Jewish Chronicle, 1992.
UPDATE: The cemetery is not disused. The Cyprus Jewish Community Centre based in
Larnaca is in the process of fundraising at present. During the past 18 months,
there has been two burials. Unfortunately, at present we only have access
through a dirt track with no road as yet. We are in contact with the local
officials, who are helping to get the cemetery back to standard. We are at the
moment landscaping the gardens and keeping up with the maintenance. Source:

UPDATE: ".......we have started the renovation of the cemetery,
the most important thing being the new road. We have over the past couple of
weeks invested £530 CYP in fixing & painting the walls and cleaning the area
inside of the cemetery itself." Source: Cyprus Jewish Community Centre [9

Margo Cemetery: "… is in the Turkish occupied part of the island. Access is barred to residents of the Greek part as of 1992." Source: The Jewish Travel Guide. London: Jewish Chronicle, 1992.
