Aurelów

In 1921, there were 39 Jews among the 120 residents of the factory settlement of Aurelów. By World War II, there were 266 Jews in the five administrative communities of Aurelów Rzeki, Kruszyna, Konary, Garnek, and Rudniki Rędziny.

It is presumed that Jews from all villages and settlements were concentrated in Aurelów during the German occupation. The number of Jews in Aurelów gradually increased, due to the flow of refugees and displaced persons from other locations. In December 1940, there were 100 refugees among the 350 Jews, and in April 1942, 380 people were there. The local government sent the Jews to dig ditches under forced labor in the surrounding area.

The date of the liquidation of the Jewish settlement is unknown. It is presumed that this occurred in September or October 1942, with the liquidation of almost all the Jewish settlements in the District of Radomsko.
