A new response feature now allows you to add your response to those older, often unanswered archived images. Please respond with relevant information when you can. Here's how. Sort the first column (VM ID) by clicking on the column title for the oldest or the latest images. Select an image. Next click "Add Response".

Alternatively, narrow your search by clicking "Search Archive," above, and type specific search terms.

Your input deserves our thanks and praise, for it may help a Gen'er in new and rewarding ways.
Countless unnamed and dedicated volunteers from across the globe deserve our gratitude. They freely offer their time and skills responding to ViewMate requests. Giving to others will come back to them.

18586 Translation - Polish

4/6/2011 4:10 PM I have just received this file from the Polish Stage Archives. It is supposed to be the marriage certificate of my ....Great-grand Parents. I can't read Polish what-so-ever. It would be much appreciated to have a helpful translation of any family members, dates and towns listed in these two pages. of course a literal translation would be even better. I would be happy to help translate anything from German to English is needed.

Sincerely,

J Yellon

18590 Translation - Yiddish

4/6/2011 4:10 PM I would love a translation of this letter! I believe it is written in Yiddish Hebrew. This is the back of a postcard sent from Krylow, Poland in 1931 by my two time great bubby, Frayda Teler. It was sent to my great zaidy, Abraham Arfin, her son-in-law, who was living in Québec.

I tried to make it as readable as possible. The postcard was not in very good condition. Also, please let me know if it’s right side up!

Thank you!
