12/13/2009 This is the family of my great grandmother, Rachel (Rivka Ruchel) Ginszburg. She was married to Szebzel (Shevti) Ginzburg who passed away in 1920. Rachel was living up until the time of the Holocaust. Our family does not know anything about the Galperin family. I am assuming the family surname based on the family surname on the headstone in this photo. I am looking for descendants of this family. View the post, there are no responses

Rachel was living up until the time of the Holocaust. Our family does not know anything about the Galperin / Halperin family. I believe the family surname may be Galperin based on a cemetery headstone in another photo. I am hoping that someone recognizes the people in this photo and I am looking for descendants of the Galperin family. View the post, there are no responses

14089 Photo Identification

12/9/2009 This photo is of a group of people including my father. He emigrated from Grodno, Belarus to Palestine around 1920/21. I don't know whether this was taken in Grodno or Palestine however if you could look at the next Viewmate photo I have uploaded there is either Hebrew or Yiddish writing just below the picture on the left hand side. That's what I want translated if possible. View the post, there are no responses
14090 Translation - Hebrew

12/9/2009 Following on from my other ViewMate image, I have cropped the message in question. I would be so grateful if some 'forensic' scientist could help me interpret this message which is either in Hebrew or Yiddish. Thank you. View the post with its 1 response
14091 Translation - German

12/9/2009 Trying to read the occupation (beruf) on this registration card from Vienna required by the Nazis ca. 1938. I think it may say "Hilfsarbeiter," which I would translate as something like "aid worker," but need someone with better German than mine to take a look. Thanks. View the post with its 9 responses
