Browse the VM archive to view user-generated images of Jewish historical subjects, documents, culture and places, up close. A new response feature now allows you to add your response to those older, often unanswered archived images. Please respond with relevant information when you can. Here's how. Sort the first column (VM ID) by clicking on the column title for the oldest or the latest images. Select an image. Next click "Add Response".

Alternatively, narrow your search by clicking "Search Archive," above, and type specific search terms.

Your input deserves our thanks and praise, for it may help a Gen'er in new and rewarding ways.
Countless unnamed and dedicated volunteers from across the globe deserve our gratitude. They freely offer their time and skills responding to ViewMate requests. Giving to others will come back to them.

Note: Viewmate's first saved image is #227.

To sort by a column, click the column title. Then click the sort icon [D] to reverse the order.
You will be able to view responses online if available. Items will open in a new browser window.

9/9/2012 3:32 PM Can anyone read the second Hebrew name of the deceased? That is, I think that the name is: Mordechai ???? b'r' Reuven. I'd be interested in a confirmation of the first and last names, and an interpretation of the second name. Thanks. View the post with its 2 responses

24313 Translation - Hebrew

9/5/2012 4:06 PM I'm trying to find out any information on the person that submitted this PoT. He was my great uncle's brother in law. In the translation, it says his name was Shuldiner. Would love to find his surviving family.
My grandma's family was Fiszer and I have very little information about them. If anyone knows anything on Nahmann, Mates, Yankiel Lyeb Fiszers or Elka Kleiner (maiden name Fiszer), please contact me.
