Browse the VM archive to view user-generated images of Jewish historical subjects, documents, culture and places, up close. A new response feature now allows you to add your response to those older, often unanswered archived images. Please respond with relevant information when you can. Here's how. Sort the first column (VM ID) by clicking on the column title for the oldest or the latest images. Select an image. Next click "Add Response".

Alternatively, narrow your search by clicking "Search Archive," above, and type specific search terms.

Your input deserves our thanks and praise, for it may help a Gen'er in new and rewarding ways.
Countless unnamed and dedicated volunteers from across the globe deserve our gratitude. They freely offer their time and skills responding to ViewMate requests. Giving to others will come back to them.

Note: Viewmate's first saved image is #227.

To sort by a column, click the column title. Then click the sort icon [D] to reverse the order.
You will be able to view responses online if available. Items will open in a new browser window.

20083 Translation - Polish

9/14/2011 2:59 PM I am seeking a translation for this marriage certificate. I would like to know all family members with ages, professions, and towns. I'm also confused by the use of the 2nd family name Borg. If there is any info here that would help clarify this that would also be very helpful.

Thank you in advance.

20033 Translation - Hebrew

9/14/2011 2:56 PM I'd like a translation of this document. The Rabbi on the right is supposed to be my Grandfather's father. The others are the Rabbi's brothers. I am looking for relatives associated with the family. I am especially looking for "living" relaives. I think that my Grandfather's father is Asher Yeheskel. The bothers are Shalom, Chaim, Joseph Moses, and Mordecai Dov.
