19681 Translation - Russian

8/14/2011 4:55 PM This is the death record of Dobret Bronia Korenman of 20 September, 1874. A daughter of Haskel Korenman, she was 1 1/2 years old.

In April the same year, a Brana Dobrit Korenman was born, apparently to the same family. That image is also on ViewMate.) The names - Dobret Bronia and Brana Dobrit - are so similar, they could be the same child. But I would assume Dobret Bronia would have been born in early 1873. Are the records incorrect? Or is this some unusual naming pattern?

19793 Interpretation

8/10/2011 4:43 PM I am trying to decipher mother's name on marriage certificate for Julius Goodman. I have established from other sources that mggf first name was Wolf; this is the first and only document where I have finally found name of mggm. My best guess is Lev Goldflower. First name is what I'm having trouble with;asking for opinions of those with better eyesight than me and knowledge of women's first names circa 1860 in Tuchin, Ukraine Russia. Also, any thoughts as to meaning or source of unusual surname would be appreciated. thank you... Jim Gutterman (Gutterman,Goodman,Land(e)sman,Herschkovitz,Geller) View the post with its 2 responses
