4/18/2012 4:05 PM I would appreciate a translation of the Hebrew so that I can find out Jacob's father's name and anything else about Jacob. Is there a surname given? The original name was Neiman or Newman but when his mother smuggled him out of Russia into Romania, he changed his name to Goldberg. Is there any indication of this in the translation?
Thank you so much

22490 Translation - Hebrew

4/18/2012 4:05 PM This a document in hebrew was written by my great great great grandfather Naphtaly Kuttner about his ancestors. Naphthaly was the descendant of famous Rabbis, his father was Joshua Heschel Kuttner and his grand father Aaron Kuttner. Through his grand mother Naphtaly was the descendant of Naftali Cohen grand Rabbi of Posen and Frankfurt and Judah Loew ben Bezazel grand Rabbi of Prague. This letter was recently discovered by my grand mother in her attic and our knowledge of the Hebrew language is not good enough to have a great understanding of the content of the letter.

Thanks for your help.

4/18/2012 4:04 PM This is the marriage record for Sima Schuster,
daughter of Abram and Frima Schuster,
and Moses Gertler(last entry).
I would appreciate a translation of as much as possible. Particularly parents names, town,
occupation etc. Also, what does the last paragraph say? I am also confused as to the entry for Sima and her parents being from Mielnica, why the mention of Skala?
Thanks for any translation or insights,
Brian

22474 Translation - Yiddish

4/18/2012 4:03 PM This is the back of my great-granduncle Harry Anflick's wedding picture. The photo was taken in London, England. Harry wrote a note on the back of the photo in English and sent it to his mother, who was then living in Philadelphia, PA, USA. Harry's mother then sent the photo to a sister of Harry's, who was then living somewhere in Eastern Europe.

Some Yiddish writing, which is now very faint, had been added to the bottom. I am seeking a translation of this Yiddish writing. (If it helps, I have uploaded a cropped version with higher contrast to photobucket: http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s301/autofyrsto/1bHeb-s.jpg)
