Browse the VM archive to view user-generated images of Jewish historical subjects, documents, culture and places, up close. A new response feature now allows you to add your response to those older, often unanswered archived images. Please respond with relevant information when you can. Here's how. Sort the first column (VM ID) by clicking on the column title for the oldest or the latest images. Select an image. Next click "Add Response".

Alternatively, narrow your search by clicking "Search Archive," above, and type specific search terms.

Your input deserves our thanks and praise, for it may help a Gen'er in new and rewarding ways.
Countless unnamed and dedicated volunteers from across the globe deserve our gratitude. They freely offer their time and skills responding to ViewMate requests. Giving to others will come back to them.

Note: Viewmate's first saved image is #227.

To sort by a column, click the column title. Then click the sort icon [D] to reverse the order.
You will be able to view responses online if available. Items will open in a new browser window.

14116 Do you recognize?

12/13/2009 This is the family of my great grandmother, Rachel (Rivka Ruchel) Ginszburg. She was married to Szebzel (Shevti) Ginzburg who passed away in 1920. Rachel was living up until the time of the Holocaust. I believe the family surname may be Galperin or Halperin based on a cemetery headstone in another photo. Our family does not know anything about the Galperin family. I am hoping that someone recognizes the people in this photo and I am looking for descendants of the Galperin family. 12/13/2009 In this photo is an unidentified man standing between the two ladies. I assume the man is a member of the Galperin family. the other people are: man in the middle is David Ginzburg with his wife Luba Weller Ginzburg to his right, his mother Rachel (Galperin?) Ginzburg to his lift, and his children, Shevela and Muni. I am looking for descendants of the Galperin family. View the post, there are no responses
