Browse the VM archive to view user-generated images of Jewish historical subjects, documents, culture and places, up close. A new response feature now allows you to add your response to those older, often unanswered archived images. Please respond with relevant information when you can. Here's how. Sort the first column (VM ID) by clicking on the column title for the oldest or the latest images. Select an image. Next click "Add Response".

Alternatively, narrow your search by clicking "Search Archive," above, and type specific search terms.

Your input deserves our thanks and praise, for it may help a Gen'er in new and rewarding ways.
Countless unnamed and dedicated volunteers from across the globe deserve our gratitude. They freely offer their time and skills responding to ViewMate requests. Giving to others will come back to them.

Note: Viewmate's first saved image is #227.

To sort by a column, click the column title. Then click the sort icon [D] to reverse the order.
You will be able to view responses online if available. Items will open in a new browser window.

7/8/2012 4:07 PM I have two birth certificates for Frajdla Nurflus, #284 and #289. I believe they are the same person. The documents are written in old cursive Russian, and are not easily readable. I am interested in all family names/first names that appear, any locations, and any dates. View the post with its 2 responses

7/8/2012 4:07 PM I saved this from a website that no longer exists. It was an exhibition on Jews of Quebec City. Elia Endler was the uncle of my grandfather. It was he who sponsored my grandfather. I realize that the image is not clear but I would really appreciate if you could translate as much as you can.
Thank you so much
