Browse the VM archive to view user-generated images of Jewish historical subjects, documents, culture and places, up close. A new response feature now allows you to add your response to those older, often unanswered archived images. Please respond with relevant information when you can. Here's how. Sort the first column (VM ID) by clicking on the column title for the oldest or the latest images. Select an image. Next click "Add Response".

Alternatively, narrow your search by clicking "Search Archive," above, and type specific search terms.

Your input deserves our thanks and praise, for it may help a Gen'er in new and rewarding ways.
Countless unnamed and dedicated volunteers from across the globe deserve our gratitude. They freely offer their time and skills responding to ViewMate requests. Giving to others will come back to them.

Note: Viewmate's first saved image is #227.

To sort by a column, click the column title. Then click the sort icon [D] to reverse the order.
You will be able to view responses online if available. Items will open in a new browser window.

8/30/2009 Israel Pickholtz died on June 4, 1893 and is buried in the Bayside Cemetery in New York, but the cemetery has no “records” so I have no idea where.

I would also like to know when the parents arrived in the USA and what happened to them. I have checked immigration records, census and death records, but found nothing. This death record is all I know about them.

I would like to find the following information:
1. The location of Israel’s burial, and perhaps a picture.
2. Any kind of information on the parents--death, etc.

P.S. The address where he died is 210 Madison Street, not Avenue, and that organization is long gone along with the records.
