These are two names taken from the LDS microfilm of Great Synagogue marriages - 12 Apr 1809. I am not interested in the two people getting married as much as the faint illegible note below their names seeming to refer to Nahum or Menahem Sofer. I don't know if this is Hebrew, Yiddish, or German. Can anyone read this note? I am also submitting examples of Nahum/Menahem Sofer's name for comparison. |
