Hello Susan,
The translation of the tombstone is as follows: "Here lies Basha Bas Michael/Mihael HaLevi". Basha, the daughter of Mihael. HaLevi refers to her father's designation as of the tribe of Levites. Bessie Kabaker died on the 27th day of the Hebrew month of Heshvan. The Hebrew year is also noted on the stone, but I am unable to provide that for you at this time.

Hi Susan,
Just some additional information. Another possibility for Bessie's father's name would be the Yiddish version Mechel. When I looked at the name again, it appeared that the Yiddish spelling was used rather than the Hebrew...Jo
