5/21/2014 5:20 AM It came to pass in the Town of Gniewoszow on the thirteenth day of December in the year of one thousand eight hundred and sixty-six at the hour of five in the afternoon. Appeared personally Wolf Wajngordt, the local Rabbi, accompanied by

Lejbus Cajgfinger, the bachelor residing with his father in Gniewoszow, eighteen years of age, born here in Gniewoszow to Szlama, residing here in Gniewoszow and making a living from the profession of a cap-maker, and not alive anymore Ruchla, the Cajgfingers, a married couple,

and Haja Dwojra Glasman, the maiden sixteen years of age, born to Motek and Gitla, the Glasmans, a married couple residing here, still staying with her parents,

and declared in the presence of Szlama Cajgfingier, the father of Lejbus Cajgfingier, and Motek Glasman, the father of Haj Dwojra Glasman, as well as in the presence witnesses Icek Majer Kosman, a flour dealer, forty-two years of age, and Gitman Glasman, a szkolnik, fifty-five years of age, both of them residing here as well, that the religious marriage had been entered into in front of him {earlier} that day by Lejbus Cajgfinger and Haja Dwojra Glasman, following

triple proclamation of banns held in Gniewoszow Town Synagogue on the twenty-fourth day of November, as well as on the first and the eighth day of December of the current year,

and verbal consent to that marriage granted by Szlama Cajgfinger and Motek Glasman, the fathers of the newlyweds, present here,

and no objections relating to impediments to that marriage raised by anyone,

and, as per the newlyweds’ statement, no premarital agreement made by them between each other.

The actual act was read aloud to the appearers and the witnesses and subsequently signed by the Rabbi Wolf Wajngordt and Icek Majer Kosman. The other appearers did not know how to write.
