On  Response
4/3/2014 3:45 PM It is not written in Yiddish but in a very good German language. The letter is addressed to "Dear Sister".

The town where from he wrote is Crossen an der Oder, today Krosno OdrzaƄskie, in Poland. The date is 13 December, but I cannot read the year, perhaps (19)15

Dear Sister,

As I am prisoner in Germany, I have written a letter to home, and asked for sending some money to me. Mom answered that she was not be able to and gave me your address. So, could you send some money to me, because I don't have one dime. The parents are healthy and fled to Grodno. Please, greet the whole family (I cannot read the last words at the bottom of this card).

Friendly.
