My uncle died in Manhattan in 1913. This is the portion of the death certificate that gives the
burial information. I cannot figure out what it says. Any ideas? Thanks.

10/7/2013 8:45 PM Perhaps "Ocean View" - there's an Ocean View Cemetery in Staten Island.
10/8/2013 7:26 AM I can't read the first word, which is followed by M.R., and then Ocean View. There is still an active non-sectarian cemetery called Ocean View on Staten Island.
10/8/2013 7:39 AM It looks lime Sed M R and I will go along with the others and say Ocean View (misspelled) April 25 1913, the undertaker is an A. Livingston and the address is 245 Grand. Maybe the address will give you a clue as to the Cemetery name (or the name of the funeral home).
10/8/2013 12:22 PM You can contact Ocean View Cemetery (non-sectarian, in Staten Island) at (718) 351-1870 to see if there's a record of your uncle's burial. For more information see http://www.oceanviewcemetery.net

I can't read the words or letters before "Ocean." Maybe "Sect." (section)?

FYI, 245 Grand Street in Manhattan (Lower East Side) is now the home of Nam Son, a Vietnamese restaurant.
10/8/2013 3:11 PM The cemetery is "Section M R, Ocean View Cemetery" which is the Hebrew Free Burial Association Cemetery ["M R" is short for "Mount Richmond" ] on Staten Island. The historic burial registers for the HFBA are accessible on ancestry.com. The cemetery office is also very helpful. I located my gggfather's grave there after finding his death certificate with a similar burial entry.
10/8/2013 3:47 PM I think it is Sect for section. The next letter could be M,U or W. The R is for Right side- a common notation- and Ocean View. Notice how the letter V starts low- it is the same with the Letter of the section. Maybe it is used elsewhere on the certificate.
