This is family registration page section from the Szecseny Jewish community. This is family of my 2nd great grandfather. I am interested in the comments on the left side of the page - I hope you can help here.

My translation is as following:

Line 451 Son of ???? Leib Spitzer and the woman Sara Klein

Line 452 Daughter of Eli Klein and ???? (maybe Sluwe) Klein

Thanks

8/6/2013 4:54 PM I can decipher line 452:the name of the mother is Slava Klein

Line 451: I think it says Gedali(as in Gedaliah) before Leib

Good luck
8/14/2013 7:19 PM Firstly, the heading of the column with the numbers says birth year. The written part on the left looks to me like: Years the Gdali Libshvitz and the woman Sara Klein.

The writing next to 1826 says: Daughter the Eli Klein and Slava Klein.
8/15/2013 4:48 PM Names ending with a Yod and a Heh are often shown as a Yod with a geresh (apostrophe) at the tiop indicating that a letter is missing. The reason they don't leqave the heh there, is that the two letters together are a version of G-d's name, and they don't want to write it out. So yes the name would be Gedalyah. Likewise, line 452 has the daughter's name written the same way and her Hebrew name is Chayah and her secular name appears to be Rozi KLEIN.

Line 451 has Shalom Hersh SPITZER and Salmon SPITZER as his secular name. And I think others have already covered the rest.

Hope that helps,
Madeleine
