On  Response
6/28/2013 6:50 AM It reads: "As a souvenir I am giving this image of mine to my future brother-in-law. Mania [or Maria] Friedman. Kraków, 14th [?] December". No year is given here.

The stamp on the right hand side reads "15 KW. 1937" = 15th April 1937 (I assume this is the date the photo was taken). Therefore the inscription was most probably made in December 1937.

The stamp on the left hand side gives the name of the photo studio were the photograph was taken - the studio was owned by Edward Heczko and its address was Krakow, Pilsudski's Street.
