Hello,
I have attached a image of 4 terms that were cropped from Galician death records from the 1880's. They were each written on 4 separate records and entered in the cause of death column. I would appreciate a translation of each.
Thank You

6/24/2013 3:30 AM Brian - I don't speak German but I have a copy of Rosemary Chorzempa's "Morbus" to hand, which gives some terms ... But the real difficulty is from reading the writing! For what it's worth as a first stab ..
1 - "Tuberkulose" - Tuberculosis;
2 - ?? Not sure of 1st letter ... 'k' ?
3 - ?? Again uncertain of 1st letter
4 - Looks like it begins with 'Wasser..' (Water)

Maybe this will help another reader...

6/24/2013 3:35 AM It would be helpful to have a larger sample of each handwriting and age at death.
1. Tauberkalusch?? makes no sense to me.
2. Keuchhusten = whooping cough
3. Diftiritus for Diphtheritis = diphtheria
4. Wassergeschwir? Probably hydropsy
