This Page of Testimony was filed with Yad Vashem to memorialize Miriam nee Okun. According to the translation from Russian on Yad Vashem's website, Miriam was born in Shchedrin in 1908 to Peretz and Dvora and was married to Zalman. I would appreciate hearing if this translation is correct and if any other information appears on the Page. Also, please, the name, address and relationship of the person (Malkin?) who wrote the testimony. Thank you.

5/1/2013 7:50 PM Yes, that information is correct, except that the name is Mal'kina vice Malkin.
Okun's DOB is 10 May 1908
Mal'kina lives in Ashkelon and is a first cousin. The form was filled out in 1984.

She lived in Shchedrin during the war. It gives the place of death (Shchedrin) and circumstances but I can read only the word "occupation"
5/1/2013 8:47 PM The previous translator couldn't read the circumstances of death. It says German occupation, gas wagon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gas_van).
5/2/2013 8:02 AM The name and address are also written in Hebrew, lower left side:
Malkin
HaTayasim 64/106
Ashkelon, Israel
