I am seeking a direct translation of the death record of my greatgreatgrandfather Moses David Imber. I'd like to know what the "d:im" means between his first and last name. Also, I'd like to know the meaning of the three words after his name and before "son of Kalman Imber of Zbarazh." I suspect it refers to his occupation. Thank you so much!

4/22/2013 2:53 AM Hi. I read as follows:

Moses Dawid IMBER [d.im., no idea, but "imie" is name and "z domu" means from house/family, therefore it could just be his family's "name"], wdowiec (widower), wlasciciel realnosci (owner of a grocery shop), son of Kalman IMBER in Zbaraz (house nr. 71).

Hope that helps. Kind regards from Alex. FRANZ in Mainz/Germany
