A friend asked me to post this image for him. It is the only tombstone left in the cemetery of Balin, Kamenets-Podolsky district, Ukraine. His grandfather (family name Bachshansky) was from that town and he wants to know what the stone says. A full translation would be very much appreciated.

and honorable Our teacher and rabbi (abbreviated)
Judah (Yehuda) son of Rabbi our teacher
Josef Yossel. "and this
to Judah ... may God listen
to the voice of Judah (a quote from the end of Deuteronomy)"
From his youth he scheduled
hours to learn Torah "and to his nation
he will bring him (a continuation of the verse)" then comes an abbreviation, possibly "god should avenge his death", implying that he was martyred, or possibly it says he died on the 14th of ...
There may be more underground.
