This is a page from a packet I received from the Archives in Ivano-Frankivsk. It appears to be a letter signed by my great great Uncle Meier Weissberg. Please translate.

that the undersigned Meier Weisberg hereby confirms he is of Jewish origin.
From January 5 1917 to November 1918 he was a private in Zamość in the 30th infantry regiment (of Austrian army).
