I would appreciate a translation of the Hebrew into English for the headstone of my Great Aunt Rebecca Berkner. Thank you.

The virgin Rivka
Daughter of rabbi Kalman.
3/21/2013 10:44 PM Hello Roxanne,

An additional note regarding this tombstone. At the top, between the two Hebrew letters, there is a symbol of a broken branch. This is sometimes used when the life of the person was cut short at a young age.

As indicated by the previous person's response, Rebecca had never been married and was a virgin. Although the tombstone does not state her exact age, the combination of this information and the broken branch, indicate that she was probably a young girl or young woman.....Jo
