This a letter that Yaakov Hutnik Lelonek wrote in October 1937 from the Lampertheim DP ca,p in Germany to the Sierpc Relief Committee in nY. An exact translation would be appreciated.

We received your letter for which we thank you very much.
It seems that you have an interest in our landsleit and in our old home.It's possible that my previous (?)letter upset you a little.-But you should understand the feeling of mindervertikeit (literally "minority")in us from gleich-in gleich (?)to us. But as it turns out,it was only a misunderstanding, and neither our (?) friends nor I are to blame. I think that in the future everything will be all right and we will stay in close contact with our relief (?).I would like to explain the mistake to you but even better to ____ you.
I have already written to you who I am: but now one more time. My parents the Hutnich___________from the mikveh street near the old shochet R' Yosel Z.Chil (?)The ____of my parents the "magid" (?)I Itschak Hutnich(?)and my brother Yechiel Hutnich are the only ones in my family left alive. I live in Lampertheim at the given address at my mother-in-law's parents. My brother Yechiel Hutnich lives in Vetslar. He is still a bachelor. He lives with my cousin Meier Hutnich who is a ----------------
