I'd be grateful for an English translation of this gravestone fo Jeno Pollak please. I'm also posting the next door grave whih I believe is Jeno's wife or daughter. Again, I'd be greateful for a translation.

Died 3 Tishrei 5741 = Sep 13, 1980
Mourning his wife daughters and sons in law.
His late mothers name was Yehudit

The town referenced on the tombstone is Szerencs, which was and still is in Hungary. It is located about 20 miles ENE of Miskolc.

If you are able to find the JewishGen Town Finder, you will be able to see a little more information about it, including the number of Jews who lived there in the 1880s, other town located in the vicinity, etc. Also, if you go to the right side of the document for the town, you will find a link to other people searching for family in Szerencs on the JewishGen Family Finder database....Jo

There is mention to "HaGaon", which means honorable sage. In other words, he was revered by his community to an exceptional degree....Jo
