This is my great-great-grandmother, Kezziah Ball (1852-1892), who was orphaned at a young age. I am trying to find any information about her ancestry, and if she was Jewish.
Her biological father was named Lawrence W. Ball from Montgomery County, AL. I know nothing about her mother.
Kezziah was born and died in Anderson County, TX. As a child she resided with foster families in Henderson County, TX. It's possible she had other siblings that were spread among other families in Henderson County.
She married James Albert Pickle in 1870.
Thank you for any leads that anyone can provide!

2/5/2013 6:07 AM Have you searched ancestry.com for passenger arrival records?
Often times immigrants arrived using their Jewish names.
I'll have a search and let you know if I find anything.
