Please can someone help by translating the short Hebrew Inscription. I would like to know if it gives any clue as to the name of Valentin's father. I believe that the father was Abraham Elias Breitenfeld, though another possibility is Lazar Breitenfeld.
Thank you

1/27/2013 6:43 PM Father is actual Paltiel. Full translation is:
Here lies Viktsin son of the holy Rabbi Paltiel Breitenfeld. Died on the 10th of Cheshvan and buried on on the 12th of it (Cheshvan) in the year 5636
1/27/2013 6:55 PM Here lies ??tzin son of Paltiel Breitenfeld
died 6 Cheshvan 5636 (Thursday Nov. 4, 1875)
and buried on day ??

I can't seem to figure out the day of burial. The lettering is clear but doesn't make much sense to me.
1/29/2013 3:12 AM To me, the first word, looks like the Hebrew, "Ha-Katsin", translated it means "the officer". Not, as "officer" is used today, in the military sense, but rather in the sense of a person who officiates in the community, or leads. I saw this term used frequently in the Prague Jewish museum.

I realize this interpretation leaves us with questions:
What does the second word mean?
Who was "Paltiel".

I would at least consider the option that "Paltiel" is Hebrew version of "Valentin". Nothing on the stone suggests either Avraham Elias, or Lazar.

Could stone cutter have made a mistake and carved "Ha-Katsin" as he was used to, instead of Valentin? It's possible. In that case, the second word would be an abbreviaion of "ben harav [role] rabbi [title]" i.e. "son of the Rabbi [role] Rabbi [title] Paltiel". There's nothing there about "holy".
