1/14/2013 10:04 AM All that took place in the City of Lodz on the thirty-first day of August in the year of one thousand eight hundred and fifty-seven at the hour of nine in the morning. Appeared personally Orthodox Jew Mojzesz Lipszyc, the local Rabbi, and declared in the presence of witnesses, namely Eliasz Berek Horyn of Lodz, the szkolnik, twenty-one years of age and Juda Wolf of Lodz, the synagogue knocker, fifty-one years of age, that the religious marriage had been entered into on the day before as a result of mutual consent of the parties to the contract and mothers of the newly-weds

by Orthodox Jew Majer Juda Tuszynski of Lodz, already divorced from his first spouse Sura Grynbaum by the judgement of the Warsaw Governorate Civil Tribunal in Kalisz dated twenty-eight of July of the current year enclosed, thirty-five years of age, his occupation being servant, the begotten son of a married couple, the Tuszynskis, namely Abram, not alive anymore and Chaia, the day-labourer, still alive and residing in Lodz

and the maiden Perla Lichtensztejn of Lodz, twenty-one years of age, proof whereof attached, living with her mother the day-labourer, the begotten daughter of a married couple, the Lichtensztejns, namely Manel not alive anymore and Ester, still alive. The marriage had been preceded by a triple calling of banns in the local synagogue, i.e. on the fifteenth, the twenty-second and the twenty-ninth day of August of the current year. No impediments to marriage had occurred. The newly-weds declared the had not signed any premarital agreement. At last the above certificate was read and signed by ourselves, the Rabbi and the witnesses whereas the other persons appeared were all illiterate.
