I need help with that letter. The Lublin Archives keep asking me it seems for the 54 PLN fee for some research on my family disappeared during the Holocaust. I sent them that fee in 10/12 with a receipt from the Bank but I am not sure what the problem is, they did not see/understand the attachement or have no information from their cashier. Each time I added the file/request number on the correspondence as well as the wire receipt that was attached.
I would like to know exactly what they exactly say and tell them I will send another wire of 54 PLN if needed ad that a 54 PLN wire was sent in 10/12.Thank you for your help.

1/13/2013 5:43 PM They are saying that they received 6PLN only on 19th October, and that they are still waiting for missing 54PLN.

They are also saying that it is your responsibility to make sure that you paid all the transaction fees to the bank.

They also mention the reference number of the case that you should quote in further letter or when making the payment - the reference number is 843-143/12

What I personally think of the situation is that most probably your bank deducted a fee of 48PLN from what you paid before (assuming that you paid 54PLN). From my personal experience I can say that international bank transfers can be extremelly expensive due to bank transaction fees. Could you please check with your bank if this is the case?
