Mülhausen 16 July 1885
Before the undersigned civil registration officer appeared today for the purpose of marriage:

1. The merchant Abraham Dreyfus, known in person, of Israelite religion, born on 21 July 1858 in Mülhausen /Upper Alsace/. residing in Mülhausen, Metzgergasse [Rue des Bouchers] 1, son of the pensioner Benjamin Dreyfus and his wife Nendele known as Nanette nee Wyller, both residing in Mülhausen
2. Alice Levy-Breisacher, without occupation, known in person, of Israelite religion, born on 25 June 1862 in Mülhausen /Upper Alsace/,
daughter of the taylor residing in this city Masom[?] Levy-Breisacher and his deceased wife Adele nee Dreyfus, last residing in Mülhausen

As witnesses were called and present:
3. The pensioner Moses Dreyfus, known in person, 70 years old, residing in Mülhausen, Colmarerstrasse 16,
4. the hide merchant Solomon Dreyfus, known in person, 35 years old, residing in Mülhausen, Ziegelgasse [Rue des Tuiles, today Rue de la Moselle] 18.

In presence of the witnesses, the officer of civil registration aked the engaged separetly and one after the other the question
if they declared that they wanted to be united by marriage to each other. The engaged answered this question in the affirmative, followed by the statement of the officer of civil registration that he declared that they are henceforth by the power of the law a legally uniged married couple.
