This is a copy of my Great Grandparents Marriage Certificate, something I thought I would never find! I believe it is in Hebrew, but some of it could be in Russian or Lithuanian. I would love a full translation if at all possible as I cannot read any of it. Any help with this will be gratefully received.

7/8/2012 11:29 PM This is a standard Ktubah - Jewish marriage document.
The printed stuff is in Aramic and the hand written is in Hebrew and gives details such as date place names and witnesses.
Date 15 Av 5651 (1891)
Place the city of Most
Groom Reuven David son of Chaim Nachman
Bride Chana daughter of David Itzhak
7/9/2012 2:52 AM You can find a full translation of the Judeo-Aramaic text of this marriage contract (ketuba) here:
http://www.galleryjudaica.com/articles/TradText.html

Hebrew date of the marriage:
the 15th day of the month Menakhem-Av of the year 5651 (Gregorian calendar: August 19, 1891)
Groom:
Reuben David son of Hayim Nahman
Bride:
Hana daughter of David Yitzhak
Witnesses:
Avraham Yehuda son of Shimon Halevi
Shmuel Tzvi son of Avraham Yaakov

The printer's text in Russian (bottom) says that this was printed in Vilna (Vilnius, the present capital of Lithuania) in 1882.

Hope this helps some more.
7/15/2012 12:42 AM The groom's father: Chaim Nechemia not Chaim Nachman
