Please could someone translate this reply from Staatsarchiv Preussischer Kulturbesitz. I wrote to them asking about my great granfdfather Tobias BROWN b.abt 1826 possibly in Koenigsberg in der Neumark. This may be a "sorry can't help you letter" but I would like it fully translated if someone was kind enough to offer.

Thanks

Translation of a letter.
Your letter of 08.03.09 My reference : 2239/09-1.1 Date 18.03.09
Concerns : Family Brown
Honoured Mr Brown,
Unfortunately your information about the story of your family do not allow to search thoroughly in the documents of the Secret State Archives of the Prussian Culture Department.
The Secret Archive of State is responsible for the written history of the central offices and organisations like certain provincial documents of the Brandenburg-Prussian State until the year 1945, completed by the heritages of persons whose careers show any relation with Brandenburg-Prussia. Researching ancestors , the military archives are most informative.
To look up in these archives, the regiment, in which the person served , has to be known.
According to paragraph . a fee is asked for searching information , of 16 for every half hour. However no fee is calculated in this case, because no work has to be done I the archives.
